VDL Bus and Coach opens a new subsidiary in Madrid, Spain. The choice to open subsidiary in Spain is the logical continuation of the strategy VDL has chosen to pursue that involves establishing a direct presence of the buses & coaches division in most of the major bus markets in Western Europe. The Spanish bus market is currently undergoing a remarkable boom. After the United Kingdom, Germany and France, Spain is Europe's fourth bus and coach market, and it is the second coach market after Germany.
