Extendable rear bumper
In 2022, we introduced our new extendable rear bumper.
The new European regulations (ECE R58.3 Directive) prescribe a reinforced construction of the bumper at the rear of trucks. With this, the EU aims to reduce road fatalities and increase road safety.
VDL Translift has developed a special folding bumper for its collection vehicles with demountable bodies, which can withstand and absorb this high impact.
This 850 mm electrically folding bumper is now also available as a kit for easy mounting on other bodies with a demountable system with overhanging load. The kit is completely pre-assembled and sprayed and therefore easy and quick to install using a universal and compact installation method.
